Xanadu One Tank Afternoon Dive
Take this opportunity to visit one of the worlds most beautiful and extensive coral reef system. Our Afternoon dives are a shorter version of the morning dive. You have one tank and almost a full hour of diving time. You will head out to one of our unique spots on the coral reef gardens off the coast of Freeport. The location you go to depends on varying wind and sea conditions. The places we usually go to on our afternoon dives include the Xanadu Reef, Magic Kingdom, or the Dolphin Reef. These locations are at depths of anywhere from 40 feet to about 80.
Xanadu Reef is a ledge dive with a maximum depth of 80 feet and shallower depths of 55. This area is famous for its French and gray angel fish, snappers, stingrays, spotted eels and if you keep your eyes peeled you might be able to see the scorpion fish. The Dolphin Reef was actually located as a dive site by one of our own team members. It is named after many divers reported running into dolphins here. The site has a permanent coral head mooring that is located at depths of 50 feet. It has a dazzling array of colorful coral of all shapes and sizes. The most common marine species that live here include all varieties of Caribbean reef fish, barracuda, rays, and Wahoo.
Our team of dive instructors has been diving the waters off the coast of Freeport for many years. When you go on one of their trips, you know you are getting the best dive trip possible. Our team is extremely knowledgeable about the coral reef system. Their chosen dive sites are by far some of the more interesting spots in the Bahamas. You are sure to be swimming around plenty of marine animals including all sorts of tropical reef fish, sea turtles, sting rays, and much more.
