Tour Summary

When you go diving with Scuba Dive Bahamas, you are going on a Bahamas scuba diving journey that will surely become one of the highlights of your visit to islands of the Bahamas. Freeport is the capital of one of the largest islands, Grand Bahama Island. We work with a group of professional local scuba divers, known as the Underwater Explorers Society, that have been exploring the waters of Freeport and Grand Bahama Island since the 1960’s! We pride ourselves on working with this passionate and dedicated team of scuba divers who know the waters off the shores of Freeport like the back of their hand.

With our daily Freeport Afternoon One-Tank Dive, we take divers out for a short but incredible one-tank dive out to a coral reef location. These afternoon trips typically go out to a shallower reef, which is perfect for beginner divers or even more experienced divers looking for a fun but easy dive in Freeport. What makes Freeport such an ideal scuba diving destination is its close proximity to a wide variety of awesome diving sites. These include all kinds of coral reef gardens, ranging from shallow ones to deeper ones, but each one is brimming with marine life.

On the Afternoon One Tank Dive in Freeport, you will likely run into typical reef fish such as the angelfish, the parrotfish, and the butterfly fish, just to mention three out of over a hundred species that live in the Bahamas coral reef gardens. At this dive site, you will also be likely to see sea turtles, lobster, stingray, reef shark, tuna, and of course, the wide assortment of soft and hard coral rock formation. This underwater world looks like an underwater paradise full of color and life. If you are visiting Freeport Bahamas in the near future, do not miss the amazing opportunity of going scuba diving in one of the world’s best destinations for scuba diving!

All dives occur on the south side of the island where waters conditions are great all year round. Visibility remains clear and consistent all year round. Water tempatures change seasonally but average between 72 - 78f.

No, unfortunately only divers may come on this trip.

Yes. There is a restroom or "Marine Head" for use on the boat.

With all the media hype it's understandable why people often ask this question but the truth is that unprovoked shark attacks are very, very rare and attacks on scuba divers are even more rare. Our staff, divers and dive masters are all trained in making sure your dive is safe and enjoyable.

Thanks to the professional guides! I was a bit worried about kayaking because I had never done it before, but the instructions were great and I had such a good time!
