Stuart Cove Open Water Referral

Our Bahamas Open Water Referral courses allow you to finish your certification dives right here in the beautiful islands of the Bahamas. Get your book work and pool work done prior to your Bahamas trip and then experience the world of actual scuba diving right here in one of the world’s top scuba diving destinations. This is the best way to get certified in the Bahamas but still have plenty of time to do other things, including going on some extra dives!

The Open Water Referral course includes a total of four dives on two days. You will be accompanied by one of our expert dive masters who will be on hand to make sure you are performing the diving and breathing techniques properly. The dive site you go on will depend on the day’s conditions but you are sure to be at one of the best sites on the coral reef system that surrounds the Bahamas.

This section details what restrictions apply for the Stuart Cove Open Water Referral. If you fail to review this section and are not able to participate in the excursion, you will still be responsible for the cost of the activity.
  • Must be in good health and pass the medical guidelines required to dive
  • Must be at least 10 years old.
  • Must have valid signed and dated referral letter from your previous instructor 
  • Completion of the classroom and pool training within the past 12 months.

Certification Schedule
  • Day 1 - AM or PM Open Water Dives
  • Day 2 - AM or PM Open Water Dives
We strongly suggest you expand your trip at least one day beyond the initial training days to allow extra time to complete your course in case of unexpected weather conditions.
This section provides you the required medical guidelines for the Stuart Cove Open Water Referral.
You will be required to fill out a medial release form at the dive shop. If you answer "Yes" to any of the questions listed, you will need a doctor's note allowing you to dive. Below are examples of the forms:
