After scuba diving, the top activity in Freeport on Grand Bahama Island is snorkeling! With the Sensational Snorkeling Sea Safari in Freeport, guests will get the chance to head out to a shallow coral reef just a few miles off the shores of Port Lucaya. We will take you out on one of two vessels, either our 45-foot catamaran (the Sunshine) or our 72-foot vessel (the Fantasia). Each of these boats are custom designed to provide comfort for our guests. The larger vessel even comes with an unbelievably fun water slide and rock climbing wall, which just adds to the excitement of this Freeport snorkeling package.

Snorkeling in Freeport is easy! Your crew on board the Sunshine or the Fantasia are expertly trained to show you how to use your snorkeling gear, if you have never used it before. The tour comes complete with sanitized snorkeling gear as well as life vests. Once we reach our coral reef destination, everyone on board jumps in the water and starts exploring the massive and awe-inspiring coral reef gardens. Many people never get to see this world with their own eyes! There are hundreds of different species of marine creatures that live and interact in these coral rock formations. It is quite the impressive sight to see!

After the fun of snorkeling, it’s back on the boat. If you are on the 72-foot boat, you can try your hand on the rock climbing wall or shoot down the water slide. That boat also has a full bar and grill on board where you can order hamburgers, hot dogs, candy bars, chips, frozen daiquiris, Bahama Mamas and much more. If you are on the smaller boat, you will actually get complimentary iced tea and Bahama Mama rum punch. It’s just all in a day’s fun here in Freeport!
